The role of livestock in supporting human well-being is contentious, with different perspectives leading to polarised opinions. Facts supporting these perspectives must be appropriate well interpreted.

Demonstrating the importance of considering all benefits of livestock to appreciate a true value

The Livestock Fact Check project investigated the provenance of several popular livestock facts. The objective of the project was to ensure that livestock discourse is supported by appropriate and well interpreted evidence.

This paper summarised the project activities and key messages.
