About the portal

Created in 2023, the Fishery Project portal shows who is working where, and on what. The portal pulls open access data from the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), and presents it in an easy-to-navigate visual dashboard. 

The dashboard can help give funders, project implementers and national governments access to key information on livestock projects: where they are, what they are about, and what data they possess, and can be updated to reflect new activities. The goal is to support improved coordination and efficiency in livestock investments and interventions.

This dashboard demonstrates the potential for harnessing large amounts of open access development data. 

Please note that this portal is no longer updated.

Next steps

The team at SEBI-Livestock are currently looking at ways to automate and enhance data extraction to allow more robust and powerful use of IATI's dataset.
