Pastoralists make irreplaceable contributions to society, economy and the environment. In recognition of the significant global role of pastoralists The League for Pastoral Peoples is supporting the ongoing development of a map to show their extent and diversity.
The map allows the user to see the distribution of pastoralist systems across the world and to explore specific case studies in more detail.
This is a living resource, that will continue to be updated and developed.
