From Programs to Impact: Leveraging Male Engagement for Sustainable Livestock Systems – Lesson from Aquaculture and Livestock

Are you working to integrate women into livestock value chains but finding that sustainable change remains out of reach? Do you have strong program designs for women’s engagement, yet still struggle to shift the livestock system in lasting ways? One key approach may be to build strategies for deeper male engagement—ensuring that men, households, and communities actively support the changes you want to see for women.

Please join a conversation with organisations that are already applying male engagement approaches in the livestock and aquaculture sectors. This is a space to share your own experiences—what has worked, what hasn’t—and to reflect together on how we can strengthen our collective impact.

Have you used a particular assessment that revealed the need to change course? Or have you relied on specific data tools to shape your male engagement strategy? Bring your insights, stories, and lessons so we can learn from one another and advance more inclusive, sustainable change.
