About the Initiative

This webinar was part of the Scoping Climate-Smart Livestock Systems in Africa (SciCLiSA) project, which examines the potential development of agriculture-based carbon credit schemes in Brazilian livestock systems to inform similar initiatives in Africa, with an initial focus on Ghana and Nigeria.

The discussions were co-hosted by the University of Edinburgh’s Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems, the Livestock Data for Decisions Network (LD4D), and the Centre for Centre For Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health (CTLGH). This Scoping Project was supported by the Climate-Smart Agriculture Partnership: UK-Brazil-Africa, which was funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and delivered by Innovate UK.
