Women in the International Years: what does 2026 hold for them?
Join a webinar to celebrate the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists and the International Year of the Woman Farmer in 2026.
This discussion will examine what the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) mean for pastoralist communities and women farmers in 2026. This question is particularly urgent as climate shocks, shifting trade dynamics, and reductions in development and climate finance reshape global development pathways.
This event aims to inform ongoing efforts to strengthen equity, resilience and sustainability in pastoral and rangeland systems. You will hear perspectives from speakers from FAO, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), The World Bank, Heifer International, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), African Union - Inter African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR), ICIMOD, Government of Botswana, as well as pastoralist groups.
The event is hosted by the Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock hashtag (GASL), and will be moderated by Julie Koehler, Head of Gender & Livestock Data, SEBI- Livestock.
